![]() When I played this combo I was a halfling Sacred Huntsmaster Inquisitor mounted on his wolf companion. ![]() If you take Butterfly's Sting, it gets more reliable with higher damage. You can now pingpong AoOs with crits and Paired Opportunists. Then the ancom gets its attacks.Īs a backup for when you succeed a disarm, you'll want Seize the Moment and a high crit range weapon - both PC and ancom should be DEX/Finesse builds. Keep going until the PC or ancom runs out of AoOs. Three more IDP AoOs for the ancom and another 3 PA disarm attempts from the PC. So the ancom makes 3 AoOs from IDP Paired Opportunists now lets the PC make 3 AoOs - so 3 more disarm attempts at -5. The ideal ancom is one with one big natural attack it also needs Combat Reflexes, and should consider alternate advancement to keep it it's starting size, but bump DEX - it's going to make a lot of AoOs. Most of the time, you've just failed 3 disarm attempts which, thanks to Improved Disarm Partner, provokes an AoO from the animal companion. If you nat20, you are holding your opponent's weapon/arcane focus/McGuffin, and with Quick Draw, you could pull out your weapon to make an iterative, if applicable. You'll fail those on anything but a nat20. It comes online around level 9, but at level 12 (BAB +9/+4), a small creature (-1), fighting defensively (-4), makes 3 unarmed (-4), twf (-4/-8) piranha striking (-3) disarms at -7/-12/-11. Disarm Partner and Improved Disarm Partner are required as well, obviously. Cautious Fighter is recommended because you'll provoke a lot of AoOs. You build a halfling PC, with Piranha Strike, Paired Opportunists, Combat Reflexes, and do NOT take Two-Weapon Fighting. Or maybe go for () to be able to create an immediate-action mini Wall of Force? Tower shields wish they were this good.įor further info, check out () to the Iron Caster.įor Hunters (esp Primal Companion), Sacred Huntsmaster Inquisitor, and any other class/archetype that gets bonus teamwork feats along with an animal companion that gets the teamwork feats you have: Improved Disarm Partner builds are OP. How about taking () for a spin? You qualify for it, big boy. But any Fighter build can be improved via the Iron Caster trick, and it opens up several unique build possibilities too. Compared to a straight Fighter, you've only taken 1-2 feats and sunk 1 level of multiclassing to get access to a whole library of SLAs. This lets you flex into an SLA as your swift and then activate it as your standard. I strongly suggest picking up the () feat so you can also spend 5 stamina points to use martial flexibility as a swift action. Holy *shit*, right? Just spend a use of martial flexibility to get access to one of these for one minute, and you can cast it as many times as the feat gives you daily uses. You now have access to *dozens* of non-provoking SLAs that scale with your Constitution, including heavy-hitters like Breath of Life, Invisibility, Bestow Curse, Fly, and Dimension Door. You get to pick any one Item Mastery feat and use it via your magic weapon. This opens up a world of possibilities, like tailored Bane via Warrior Spirit, but here we'll be focusing solely on the Item Mastery option. So what does this get you? Now you can flex into the Advanced Weapon Training feat, which lets you pick any of the () you want for the duration of your martial flexibility. The simplest and probably most solid way to achieve this is Fighter 5/Brawler 1, but there are other ways to finagle it if your build demands. a Brawler dip, the Barroom Brawler feat in a pinch) and the ability to take the () (but *don't* actually take it). All you need is a source of martial flexibility (e.g. Inflict Pain: Target takes a –4 penalty on attack rolls, skill checks, and ability checks. For the poor vanilla Fighter, I'm a huge fan of the Iron Caster build, which comes online at around level 5 or 6. ![]() Id Insinuation I: Confuse one creature for the duration of your concentration + 1 round.
